Default Echo And The Bunnymen

This great band don`t have a thread

So anyway , I`d rate this band as one of the most important British bands of the 80s alongside The Smiths & The Cure.Their influence is a lot bigger than most people seem to realise , there are a hell of a lot of indie bands over the last 15 years that name them as an influence (in fact Spiral Stairs of Pavement wrote the sleevenotes to their Crystal Days box set). They`re also one of the few bands to reform after a decade or so that still make good albums even now.

Oh and Ian McCulloch came out with my favourite ever quote about U2...

"Music for plumbers and bricklayers."

But that has nothing to do with me liking them you understand

I think they`re wonderful.

Been a fan for 15 years. Liked their old stuff for 5 years and more or less forgot about them for 8 years then got 'What Are You Going to do With Your Life'. One of my perfect Sunday afternoon cd's. Seen them twice at glasto now. 2003was VERY good, but in 2005 i was pretty bored. Ran into his girlfriend 3 years ago at a party as well.

anyways - a great band that i'm very happy to have lasted this long.

I actually got into them through Donnie Darko.

Ocean Rain = sex.

Their new(er) stuff isn't that great, though.

Donnie Darko seems to be the gateway drug to Echo and The Bunnymen.
