Right now? I don't know if I'm in a mood for EATB...

Even if i'm an optimistic guy, this is the kind of topic that makes me feel nostalgic, because i was a 18 years old guy in the early 80's. :(
The killing moon is one of my all-time fav tune.

I'll agree with everybody here who says that Heaven Up Here is their best (or at least an excellent album) and just for fun I'll add that Ian McCulloch is a better singer/frontman than Jim Morrison ever could have been.

I feel like seeing Jim Morrison live, at least in the later part of his career, would not have been very fun. I imagine the audience would end up feeling very awkward...

I think Ocean Rain is their best, and yes Silver is a beautiful song! Echo and the Bunnymen are one of my favorite bands from amongst that whole post punk sound; they released so many fantastic albums. Heaven Up Here is great too, but not like Ocean Rain.

As far as I'm concerned you could put them Crocodiles>Heaven Up Here>Ocean Rain>Porcupine.

Real shame they never made it as big as they could have, however the recent singles arn't much cop.

Add The Chameleons to that statement too. Another fine 80's band.

Script Of The Bridge is a great album.Really started to hear their influence this decade in the likes of Doves,Coldplay and Elbow.
