The Ian Svenonius Appreciation Thread
It`s about time this guy was given his due around here other than a couple of throwaway mentions in a couple of emo threads.
Responsable for not one , not two , but THREE great bands in the from of Nation Of Ulysses , The Make-Up and Weird War. The Make Ups version of Hey Joe pisses over anything Hendrix ever did with it.

Hello Urban!! Has it been that long... people keep saying that to me. Oh well, I'm here now, so back to the original topic. How strange you should post this topic, I was just listening to Weird War's 'Baby It's the Best' and wondering why no-one talks about Weird War. Why wasn't that hailed as a modern day classic by all today's cool kids who claim they were born in the wrong era. Does it not have that solid old school rock or indie summery feeling that most 60s stuff gave us, or Pavement? I think it does anyway.
Also, I have been meaning to ask someone... The Make-Up and Radio 4. Can anyone see a similarity? Who's copying who?
