Great band. I have Lovelyville and Strangers from the Universe - both are v. good. I remember when I first heard Four O'Clocker 2 - that song is killer.

I wouldnt say they're as good as sonic youth though lol.

Does anyone know anything about the connection between this band and Caroliner?

Sure, I'll work for you. Here's what the internet says:

I haven't listened to Thinking Fellers forever but I remember loving them at one point.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

Very good news on the Thinking Fellers front. There is a vinyl reissue campaign of their albums and EPs, beginning with Strangers From The Universe and Admonishing The Bishops. Also, the band has a new Instagram page and digital offerings of their music on their Bandcamp page. More details at www.tful282.com

While I hope all of this activity might mean a reunion tour in the not too distant future, I'm not counting on it. I do hope they make some $ from these endeavors and maybe make some new fans as well.

Thinking Fellers did two reunion gigs last month in Portland, Oregon. Brian Hageman, Mark Davies, Hugh Swarts, and Jay Paget were all present. Bassist Anne Eickelberg was unable to be there so there was a subsitute bassist. Here's the August 10 gig:

Here's the August 11 gig:

Not the best audio or video quality but I'm just glad they were recorded. I'm not counting on more reunion gigs but I hope they do more.
