Math Rock-Music that strays from the typical 4/4 rock and is usually progesive. The typical math rock time signature uses an odd number on top and most of the time an 8 on bottom. Meters are often changed to add a different texture. Patterns are often used and vocals tend to be low in the mix. It's often mixed with other genres such as post-hardcore, post-punk or post-rock while still keeping a threaded sound.
Examples: Polvo, Piglet, June of 44, Drive Like Jehu, Q and Not U, Meneguar, Dakota/Dakota, Faraquet, Tera Melos, Unwound, Chavez, A Minor Forest, Dianogah,

add it hoes.
