I agree with Urban. Then again, I'm not really bothered. I listen to the music, I feel like I don't have to know everything about a genre to be described as a huge fan. You listen, no need to learn. But well done anyways, a lot of time spent on it. Even though I flicked through most of it. Sorry.

I agree, music is made to be enjoyed, not feel like an assignment or work

Butthole Surfers & Big Black would be a good start

The Birthday Party. Also, two of the members of Jesus Lizard were in a band together called Scratch Acid in the 1980s. Theres a cd that has all of their recprdings on it called The Greatest Gift.

Big Black
Rapeman
Shellac
Scratch Acid

And some other stuff. I can't think of too much right now.

(by the way, Urban, I love the song in your sig. He actually thought he was gonna get commercial success with that one... strange dude.)

There seems to be an Austrailian indie section missing in the main post , which isn`t right given the Nick Cave groupie I am.....

The Saints , Radio Birdman , The Birthday Party , The Go Betweens , The Divinyls , The Sleepy Jackson and i`m sure there`s a couple of grunge bands that could be added .... but I wouldn`t know about these things.
