I can't stand Bjork either... it's a deep routed hate of her voice in fact. Akin to nails on a chalkboard... I should like it, and the music is 'my type' but there ya go....

another one is Smiths... never liked them (but at least can stand his stuff)... but oddly enough i was a HUGE james fan.....

I also find Bjork painfully annoying-not just her voice, but her in general. The whole backflips, cartwheels, screeching act. Kill her. Kill her now.

Working on a remix of Friend of Mine as we speak... just got ableton and messing around with it as that song I thought the structure could be better/different...

Remix is finished! You'll need to know the original to catch the differences as it's more of a re-arrangement but here it is!

PLEASE do to tell me what you think (both good and bad) and while you are at Myspace add me as a friend (if you have an account). The quality at mysapce isn't the best I realize, but I want to keep this all above board as it's not my song to begin with ;)

ok, if i'm not mistaken, you put the middle of the song in the begining and vice versa right? i was trying to figure out what you did for quite a while...i didn't really see anything wrong with the original, in fact i think the progression is more natural in the original than the way you did it, i thought the song stopped then started again....so nay on the arrangement. it was a clear cut beggining that you put in the middle....

oh, i love the song by the way, finally got arround to listening to it. i think i might be getting into the national....i think it's one of those bands that grow on you....

oh, and the award for the most belated response ever goes to......

it's chopped up quite a bit.. the mid section came to the beginning and the end section is still the end... the rest has lots of layers which I thought worked pretty well... Also, the original has a stop/start as well so hoped I could get away with it as well. Without the individual parts (drums on it's own etc) its the best I could do. ..just saying i did more more than move one section is all :)

REGARDLESS, thanks for feedback though - even better that it was honest! :)

speaking of remixes of The National - they just re-released the album with a bonus 2nd cd that has 2 remixes (both very good!) not to mention a few new songs (of which 'Driver Surprise Me' is a real gem). go here for more info - http://www.beggars.com/features/thenational/ (you need to enter your UPC of the album to get them -but you can simply go to the store and copy it down if you want to get these). Really good of them to allow people that already bought the album to get these songs for free I think!
