stars - set yourself on fire
a cross between broken social scene and death cab for cutie, however, both bands are far superior. it's too sugary and dull as hell.......moving on....

Set Yourself On Fire is one of my favorite albums of this year (or last year, depending on where you live).
And its funny that you call it a cross between BSS and Death Cab, because Torque and Amy from Stars are both members of Broken Social Scene and Stars are currently on tour with DCFC. Or did you already know that and that's why you made the connection (in which case I would feel silly for pointing it out). Anyway, The only problem I have with SYOF is that all the songs are kind of same-y. I prefer Heart, Stars' album from 03, which has a lot more variation methinks. |
