In the metal education thread Black Sabbath are not metal because 'metal has moved on from then' Yet emo is still the original definition of 'emotional hardcore' regardless that emo is now nothing more than a trend & stereotype & that most people who like 'emo' couldn`t give a stuff about it`s origins.
Just a couple of years ago you ask any emo 'fan' to list their favourite bands & i bet 7 out of 10 of them would have said Bright Eyes.

Emo stands for emotional hardcore, I really don't think you should change the actual genre name because MTV says so.
