Yes I was being sarcastic, I don't see the problem with referring to bright eyes as him or them. But, referring to bright eyes as him is nicer seeing as his band gets 0 credit.

^theres a difference. Bright Eyes didn't debut as the name of their frontman, Avril Lavigne and her band did that.

Anyway.. I don't have all that much by Briight Eyes on my computer but what I do have I'm not all that impressed by. I will give Conor Oberst credit though, he did manage to capture a lot of fans with music that, to me, doesn't sound like much more than a guy who decided to pick up a guitar one random day and struck gold with a record company.

Bright Eyes is the stage name of Conor Oberst.
It is a single person, with a backing band.

He didn't have to strike gold.
It is his record company.

Good lord, mike mogis is genius too! he's in it as well. FULL-TIME refer to Bright eyes as "them".
