Boy With the Arab Strap is def my favourite B&S album. The opener "It Could Have Been A Brilliant Career", is one of my fav album openers of all time. Except of course that I always have to walk back to the stereo because I forget how quiet it is!

Oddly enough, Fold Your Hands Child... is my favorite Belle and Sebastian album right now. I know most fans regard this (or Storytelling) as B&S's worst. I don't get it! I mean, besides Beyond the Sunrise they're all really great, tuneful songs.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think Fold Your Hands is totally underrated?

The Model is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

this is my first post and I have to say that I have always loved what I have heard from Belle and Sebastian, but don't even know where to begin on what to listen to as a new listener. ANy good recommendations? And does anyone else actually remember the cartoon or was old enough to watch it when it used to be on nickelodeon? Because until a few years ago, I didn't even realize the band existed and only associated the name with the cartoon
