Need Recommendations
Hey all, I'm new to the forums and I've felt pretty bored about my music library for awhile so I joined this forum in search of some good quality bands. I've always been into indie and alternative but haven't always known alot of good bands. I listen to alot of The Smashing Pumpkins, The Shins, White Stripes, Beatles, Elliot Smith, and John Mayer. I'd like to get into past and present bands, as long as it's not something like Green Day. Well, thanks all in advance, I look foward to all your band recommendations.

Thanks for the great list ...I will definetly check these bands out. Also, I do listen to Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, just didn't mention them because they aren't on my "top list". Both create some outstanding music and I can see why alot of todays music is heavily influenced by them.
