....If you`re the sort of person who enjoys reading reviews by pretentious collage dropouts so far up their own arseholes it`s almost embarresing.

So is indie what the band is? Or what the sound is?

because if it's what the sound is, than you're probably wrong. But if it's what the band is than you are incredibly elitist. and that is not a good thing.

I think he's saying that to be an indie band you have to be on an independent record label.

Whoever was saying that you could be an indie band and be on a major record label would probably argue that "indie" has more to do with the band's "sound."

Urban Hat€monger ? 12-26-2005 12:23 PM

Which is crap anyway.

I don`t care about the size of the label , just the quality of the music

but why do you have to be on an independant label? If being indie is having no one hear you than that's a ridiculous classification. If a band has an indie sound than whatever label you're on shouldn't matter.

and amen to that Urban.

It`s all bollocks anyway.

OK so there are bands on small labels so they can do there own thing. There are also bands that are on small labels because their music attracts a small market. But there isn`t a single band in the world who wants to stay on an indie label because they don`t want their music to be heard or because they want to sell less records.
