Rites of Spring is real emo; today's **** is just labeled emo; Its really just pop music.

just don't call em Emo. Many of those bands hate that term.

Emo was started by punks. It is completly different then modern emo. There is no connection between modern emo, and 80s/early 90s emo at all.

They were labeled emo, but they are not the wavy haired scene kids we see today. They piss off scene kids. They are underground emo, and that is nothing to be ashamed about.
