Off Minor
 

When Saetia split the lead singer formed Hot Cross, and some of the other members formed Off Minor. I personally like Off Minor better. I recommend you look into them if you're into the other two bands.

I've only heard some stuff off Innominate and I wasn't really a big fan, they just seemed to lack the diversity of Saetia and Hot Cross, I might check out some more stuff though just so I can get a better overview of their sound. As for right now:

Hot Cross > Saetia > Off Minor

In my opinion, anyway.

For me its like Off Minor > Hotcross > Saetia (partly because listened to them too much). I like your avatar btw, didn't know you were a fan of The Blood Brothers.

Yeah they're one of my favourite bands, I took my username from their song Mr. Electric Ocean too but dropped the 'Mr' because it sounded sort of pretentious.

I think right now its Saetia > Hot Cross > Off Minor. Although just like Electric i havent listened to too much Off Minor. So i guess i should listen to them a little more before i really make a decision.

I'm with Pimp. Of course, haven't listened to that much of off minor. But that's my lineup.

every one of off minors releases have been better and more importantly completely different. great band and amazing energy. hot cross is really good but live (and recorded) they just dont hold their own with these other bands.

I have never listened to Off Minor at all...............so right now if we're just listing bands that members of Saetia have been in....

Saetia > Hot Cross > Errortype: 11 > Off Minor(<-last by default)

It's mainly just Billy Werner, he MAKES the bands pretty much in my opinion.

I go to their retired website on level plane sometimes so I can look at A Retrospective, in hopes of buying it online one day.....

And I saw the comments from people saying,"Oh I'm sorry about all the criticism Saetia's been receiving, Billy, I'm sorry...."

It's almost like THE stereotype, lol...

Why don't you just get A Retrospective from Interpunk? It's only like $10 there.

Ehhhh I like em but hot cross are better than any band mentioned in this thread. They write better songs and pull it off live a lot better. Well...besides Billy Werner's in between song banter.

I've come to like this band way more than Hot Cross and Saetia together.

I have no idea how, but apparently they played a show at a college near me. And I missed it.

i like them more than Saetia

yea off minor is pretty sweetness, i just got their new full length its pretty cool, the first song sounds a lot like phoenix bodies

i'm listening to Some Blood right now, sounds pretty decent. still have to let it set in so i could form an opinion. sounds pretty good from this end as is though. when did Off Minor put out the Killie split?

i think they put out the split pretty recently as well

the Killie split sounds really well rounded. i seem to enjoy listening to it more than i do Some Blood.

hmm. I can't say I heard any song by Off Minor.
I mean, I heard of the band obviously but struggled to find anything...Shame :(

I don't think their myspace does them much justice. They have quite a number of good songs not on there, but that's just my opinion.

I love "Staring down the barrel of limited options" and "this is a hostage situation"

this is a really sweet album so far. 2008 has been somewhat of a ****storm for screamo releases.

We, being my group of friends and I, have this inside joke in which we talk in an Off Minor vocal styling.

Does anyone else do that?

No but I'm going to start doing that. Even if none of my friends have even heard Off Minor...

First listen through Some Blood: it's good. I wish it was a little longer, but still very good.

Some Blood was decent... but not spectacular. Sounds like other Off Minor stuff to me. The ending of the last song is really good, though.
