Code Orange Kids
Noisy, chaotic hardcore band from Pittsburgh. Kind of doomy/sludgy sound almost. Discovered these kids earlier this year when I heard their EP, but just got around to listening to their debut full-length last night. What an incredible debut, it's easily in my top 10 of this year. What's more amazing is that these kids are fresh out of high school, with the average age being 18. Makes me wonder what I've been doing with my life. Check it. Not my bag, baby.
Fans of Iron Monkey and Eyehategod will eat it up, though.

I need to hear more things by them, but I really enjoyed their contribution to the four-way split with The World Is..., Tigers Jaw and Self Defense Family.

I like their tunes, but when I saw Gaza and Full of Hell, (slayed) they were also on the bill, but got stuck in a snowstorm and couldn't make it in time. Apparently they were supposed to come later and play a set, but I didn't stay, I'm not that punk I guess.
