hmh. well....i probably started more in the "emo core" sub genre, as someone on these forums refered to it, with finch. after a while i came across thursday which remains to be one of my favorite bands. zealious suggested saetia to me, and i listen to them a lot lately. im not sure if all of these would be considered emo, but the sound seems to fit the category
saosin sounds of animals fighting coheed (sorta) the mars volta and does anyone here like CIRCA SURVIVE? its anthony greens (former singer of saosin) new band. would they be considered emo?

My ego's like my stomach- it keeps shitting what I feed it. But maybe I don't want to finish anything anymore.. maybe I can wait in bed 'til she comes home. and whispers.... Quote:

Started with punk in 7th grade. progressed to hardcore the next year. a few friends listened to Sunny Day and indie emo stuff and i liked some of it. my best friend told me about this band called heroin last year and some members reccomended them so I checked it out. i like it. I still perfer metal and spazz rock but some solid emo and screamo definitly round out a good experiance
