Where can I find pure emo music?

Hey.
I've been digging through the emo genre for a while, and I've found a lot of bands that people define as emo. But I find it really hard to find true emo music, as whenever I find a Yahoo! thread about it people keep recommending My Chemical Romance and other bands defined by stereotype. The good bands I found isn't really pure emo, but a mix between alt-rock, power-pop, post-hardcore and emo-pop. So where can I find true emo music? Stuff that isn't labeled by stereotype, stuff that SHOULD be in the emo genre?
