Default Dowsing

Dowsing are a New Jersey band who sort of follow the whole Kinsella revival, but at times they sort of remind me of Mineral or Texas is the Reason's faster songs. I've been digging their EP lately, not a bad Emo release.

I really enjoyed their EP, similar sounding to a lot of other stuff, but a fun listen. I do see the comparisons to Kinsella-esque emo, but that's some of my favorite stuff, so I'm a fan of this.

Thanks for bringing this band up. Just listened to the EP and enjoyed it, Maxwell being the highlight in my opinion.

Anyone heard the new LP, It's Still Pretty Terrible.

It's far from terrible (take that pun whatever way you want) but in my eyes it's a considerable distance for being great.
Reminds me of Daytrader's album earlier this year in that I'm sure they're both good but on first impressions (third for Twelve Years) they haven't clicked yet.

Will need to re-listen but on early analysis it doesn't come close to All I could Find Was You EP of last year.

I came back to this album recently, can't believe I skipped over a song as awesome as this first time through.

The benefit hindsight, eh?
