As i`ve said before , i think emo is more snobby & elitist than any other genre & you just proved me right. You complain that nobody listens to 'real' emo & when they do you just gloss over that & pick up on him mislabelling a band in the wrong genre to show just how much more emo you are. I`ve recently just got into soul & funk , I`m not going to pretend that I know everything about those genres , yet i`ve never encountered as much hostility from fans of it as much as 'real' emo fans seem to delight in giving to new emo fans , calling them bandwagon jumpers & posers because they listen to the 'wrong' bands. As I said before , this is my opinion of the emo scene looking from the outside. You can either take that on board , or you just you can just do one of your WAHH WAAHH WAAHHH WHY ARE YOU POSTING IN THIS FORUM WHEN ALL YOU DO IS FLAME type posts It`s up to you.

god dammit, forgot about this thread for a little while. lucky me. i still find it humorous how certain people (ie me, urban and all_night_dinnah) are getting criticized for being negative in a thread titled "hate in the emo community"

You know i`ve posted 3 times here now saying why i`m commenting here & i`ve not been negative once yet so far all of my points have been ignored & all you hear is the 'stop posting here because you hate emo'

Urban, I'm not trying to show that I'm "so much more emo" than you or anyone on this forum. I'm simply saying that Taking Back Sunday is not screamo, and if Punkrock wants to flame the emo forum then he better understand what he's talking about. Don't you agree that its pointless start arguments on things you know nothing about? Would you like me to go to the indie forum and say how the Back Street Boys exemplify the lack of talent in indie music? Would you like me to say that 50 cent is too violent in the classic rock genre? It`s up to you.

I understand your point, and the constant clarification of genres does get annoying to the people outside the emo forum. However, when punkrock tried to flame emo bands, he was talking about bands that had nothing to do with emo. This is a forum where everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when one argues , it is essential that he/she knows what the argument is on.
