I just know a lot of TFOT fans like Fang Island. I'm honestly very surprised by his reactions to all of these recommendations :|

I'm surprised too, you could go ahead and call me a dumbass noob and I'd probably unwilling to defend myself. Most of the stuff that you recommended is not incorrect (based on TFOT), it's just not close enough to what I'm looking, I was probably not communicating my preferences clearly. Anyway, that's why I made that small list in the later part of my recent post. I think that might have been a little more clear.

Honestly, most of them are good suggestions based on TFOT (mostly) (Except for Fang Island, which I thought was a joke. last fm describes them as a "feel good" band, which is everything but what I'm looking for, ;p)

seriously doubt he's gonna like Snowing haha... I don't understand how he can like TFOT and call some of these recommendations 'noise' though

Since I really don't like any of the bands he listed as bands he enjoys I'm going to go far on a limb here...but here goes.

Honestly, I'm not out here to piss people off or to come across as difficult, all of the suggestions are helpful, even if they're not always exactly what I'm looking for.

I might persue Suis la Lune and Snowing as recommendations. Thanks for those.
I have not given Peach a really good listen yet, but from what I've heard so far they are very good, although I'm not sure they're exactly what I'm looking for. Their *sound* is similar to Tool's Undertow, I'm more into Lateralus.
You and I seemed good, though their album The curtain falls has very short tracks, and I can't seem to find their others.

I've been shuffling through progressive metal stuff lately, Fellsilent has impressed me the most, by far. Some of Rishloo will probably turn out ok for me, though they are not always very aggressive in sound (like Fellsilent).
