they aren't playing garbage music either Frost. I can understand if you don't like the new album. but the old one was very original in style and execution. also, gerard can do alot of things with his voice making him very versetile in rage and style. its not garbage
i saw this band at a small show about 3 or 4 years ago. im sure thats old enoug to be considered their old stuff. worst live performance i have ever seen. super sketchy and weak as hell.

Wow, you sure don't mind spouting your opinion do you? Have you ever had anything good to say about any bands? Ever heard of keeping an open mind? And just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are terriable.

Yeah, because in order for someone to be open-minded, they have to listen to and enjoy your precious bands. And to think that someone would dare to "spout" their opinion on a music forum. That should be a crime.

Actually he does have good stuff to say about bands. You can read the emo forum to see for yourself. I would put MCR with green day. Both have catchy tunes except one is ridiculed more than the other.

Well, just FYI, I'm not much of a fan of MCR, so I wouldn't exactly call them my "precious band".

I just don't think its right for people to go around trashing bands. Whats the point? Does it change anyone elses mind or make anything better? Just because you don't like their music doesn't mean they are not talented. And the opposite is true.

You might not like a song you heard by any given band, but you might like one of their other songs. You have to be open-minded enough to give it a chance though. I dont say that you can't dislike a band, but does it really do any good to trash them? The people who like the band arn't going to change their mind...

I'm not saying that people shouldn't come into a forum and "spout" their opinion, but their are ways of saying things that are smarter than others. Saying "This band sucks" is a very poor way to present your opinion and in all likelyhood, will turn people off to whatever else you have to say. A little bit more tact and explination may actually persuade people.

But who am I to say these things, just a newbie...

Wow, I liked everything you had to say there.

However, in this specific case, Frost elaborated on his origins for disliking this band, so it is hard to say that he poorly presented his opinion. But, you see those kind of brief remarks made everywhere in the world of music. Some people have such strong opinions that they don't feel the need to further elaborate, so you gotta accept it for what it's worth.

True, many brief remarks are made in the world of music. And unfortuanly, I feel it gives people the wrong impression about bands. I probably jumped to conclusions about Frost, but I just see so many seemingly hateful posts by him. But what can I say, I suppose we are all just human. We are all intitled to our own opinions, weather others feel they are right or wrong. Its just sad that we always have to point out the bad about things, rather than the good.
