Yea, I'll be done in a year -majoring in political science. I've been hosting house shows over the past year and been meeting some really neat people. How about you?

I was travelling for most of three years after quitting college, then i just spent two years in Spain and now i'm in China (teaching English, so not doing anything really interesting). I thought i'd have a lot of time out here just to spend on myself, maybe learn some Chinese, delve into a few little hobbies, but mostly just think about things. So far i've barely had time to eat/wonder what the **** i'm doing with my life. I think Blink-182 put it best: "work sucks". But there's also Chokehold's: "more than ever it's becoming clear, my hate for you is a ****ing obsession!" Take your pick
Oh, and can i ask you a (serious) question? Have you found college worthwhile? |

That sounds awesome all the same.
I don't know if college is worthwhile. Probably not, but I'm really happy with my life. I've learned a lot and made some great friends. College isn't necessary for either of those for sure but it facilitated it for me. I doubt I'll use my degree. I'll probably just substitute teach and valet into my mid and late 20's before getting a real job. I think when it's time to settle down and get a real job I'll take up a trade. It's good money and I rather work with my hands than sit at a desk.
