I read a the first part about rites of spring, mineral, and stuff. I thought it was pretty good because the author used people that were in the concerts to talk about the scene. The second half sucks because he idolizes Dashboard Confessional as the savior of the emo genre.

I'm nearly done the whole book.
The first chapter is good, and although the rest is informative, it's not true. He's describing post emo indie music, not EMO. At least his intentions were good. I'm not a big fan of dashboard either.
