I was always led to believe that emo was short for emotional punk rock. So in theory, by the information that i have been given, emo is derived from punk. If you disagree then that is fair enough. I am intrigued by the whole emo phenomenon.

emo is just emotional music may it be the used or taking back sunday and to everyone that thinks emo is about slitting your wrists then think again.Ive listened to most of the used and it dosen't have anything to do with killing yourself so you can shut up macman
