Create and show off mixed CD's
I'll try and give this a spin and see how it runs.
Since I don't listen to radio I end up making mixed cd's for variety. To spawn music discussions and expose each other to good songs and bands we can post up our own mixes. Of course some ground rules. Describe your mix in any way you see fit. Use purpose, feeling/mood, and genres/sub genres (if you dare). Be as descriptive and creative as you can be. Most likely no one will give your mix a second look or even the effort to compile the songs you've picked if they have no idea what you've made. Do try to keep the music somewhat in the vein of emo but no band bashing. If you see a band that's not in your opinion emo no need to comment. If you don't have or can't find a song in a mix just skip it. __________________________________________________ _______________ I'll throw out one I made tonight. This mix is definately on the lighter and slow side. I wanted to make a laid back CD for those times where a jolt to my eardrums is not what I want. Some are instrumental but all have a catchy sound with build ups here and there. Soft to loud whining voices and deep lyrics. Possibly good for throwning to a women friend. Not lovey dovey stuff but it'll do. The Good Life - An Acquaintance Strikes a Chord Eniac - I'll Never Get Home Kind of Like Spittng - 1330 Oak 1995 Jack's Broken Heart - Midnight Clear Sharks Keep Moving - Interlude The Appleseed Cast - Steps And Numbers Explosions in the Sky - Help Us Stay Alive Christie Front Drive - Saturday American Football - the One With the Wurlitzer |
