Default N-N-N-Northstar

So my girlfriend bought me this cd (Pollyanna) the other week... I'm just about obsessed. I've probobly listened to it 15-20 times and it just gets better. The pornographers daughter (track 4) is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. Anyone else here like them? Favorite songs? Interpretations of the lyrics?

Actually I've been working on coming up with a theme or meaning to The Pornographers Daughter... It seems to promote willful ignorance with lines like

"I'll be the phantom of the opera
The lanturn you blow out first"

"I know a place where we can both get laced"

and

"Strap my face to a homemade bomb, and blow the bus stop through the parking lot"

yeah... so... discuss?

Not really... the catchy riffs remind me of Brand New, Your Favorite Weapon. And the lyrics... well I could praise them all day. Anyway I listened to that song some more and it's amazing how they can use metaphors of casual sex and drug abuse to tie into an extended theme of willful ignorance. ah I love it.
