Being emo isn't being emotional. There's plenty of emotional music that isn't emo in the least. Emo is about exaggerated emotion over commonplace events. Like cutting yourself because nobody wished you a Happy Birthday. I know someone who actually did that. It's mind-blowingly pathetic and also equally retarded at the same time, which I consider quite a feat.

Well , I was played an album by a band called the promise ring who i`m told are highly rated by emo types & after 30 seconds came to the conclusion that they have possibly the worst singer I have ever heard. And i think the last thing I heard was some band called the arcade fire who , I don`t know if they would be considered an emo band as such , I know lots of little emo kiddies wetting their knickers over them , however to me they just sound like every other ****ty Cure influenced band i`ve ever heard.

I`ve heard more but I don`t want to dwell on such filth.

^ my bad, obviously your musical genious is too great and expansive for a mere mortal like myslef to be able to comprehend. How could I ever have considered that people could have differing opinions. Obviously if all emo is filth to you, it must be filth to the rest of us.

(get off your f*cking high horse, and realize that if you don't happen to like a band, that it doesn't label them as filth to everyone else. Music is what we call subjective to opinion, meaning people are bound to have differing opinions, and there is no right or wrong when it comes to musical preference.)

^ yeah, except you have yet to post a single positive comment on the boards, or even explain your negativity towards bands that you don't like. You're starting to get on my nerves, and if you keep this up, you might find that your username is no longer valid at this site. consider yourself warned.
