well with this post, gravity, we have the exact same amount of posts hahaha. I feel you, and I respect that. I mean of course they're good for a reason and if you've been on this forum for this long, obviously you care more about music than you do about punk cred. yeah, orchid is ok but Im not a huge fan of them. they're just a gateway band to me pretty much. Ampere is really good though.

Okay, you're right, some people do genuinely like Minor Threat, and they definitely played a role as founding fathers of the genre. But I still stand by my statement that many people name drop Minor Threat for punk cred.

Also: Bad Brains is the only first-wave hardcore punk band you'll ever need.

They're the only band that consistantly entertains me. Black Flag's The First Four Years was fun and all, but I don't enjoy Damaged or My War at all. Dead Kennedys can be good, but it's always amazed me that they're even considered a hardcore punk band.
