Hightide Hotel
Thought they might as well have a thread.
I know the drummer played in street smart cyclist but I have no idea who the other two dudes are. They're releasing a split 7" with By Surprise in the spring. Hightide Hotel on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads |
they're pretty sweetness, they have that whole philly cheery emo thing going on

Everyone should grab the Porch Luck EP they posted, Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! , It's really good. They do have that Algernon/Street Smart/Boy Problems sound about them which is really nice.

Yeah, this band sounds like every other Philly band out there.

Louise Csyphre is and always will be my favorite european screamo band though. They have a really unique brand of chaos. anyone into Adorno? my friend bills record label just put out their cd. Its pretty decent, they're from portugal. |

Totally. To be honest, I think Cap'n Jazz is really boring and way overrrated, but too many kids in emo think you HAVE to like them. Apparently thats a prerequisite for every band in Philly, too, since they all rip off them and American Football like its going out of style. I'm sick of hearing the high pitched grating singing/screamy vocals . Jesus Christ, cut it out. |

@ brandon, dude louise cyphre bring the ruckus dude, i love those guys. but anyway, on the northeast scene there's at least a few bands (monument, storm the bastille, death to tyrants, jacob and i) that are trying to something really genuine. i do remember the days when i thought that make me was kind of overrated, and i was really into the skramz scene with cap'n caveman, but these days i'm more into that melodic shit and now even more hardcore stuff. so i'm glad i've progressed beyond "omg braid is the end all be all! kinsella iz hero!". |
