its likeing bands no1 has heard of, slitting your wrists, crying alot, getting easily upset about being dumped, pretending you have parents that hate you and pretending you've had a really hard life.

Yeah, cause this question hasn't been asked before...
And there's never been a reply that witty either...

emo is silly, that's what it is.

here's what bug's me. people who are "emo" have to wear certain things, act certain ways, listen to certain bands, yet, the very thing they dont like is conformity. see the irony?

this is the saddest thing i have ever seen in my life this conferms my belifes that my generation sucks and is going down

Have you people even looked at other threads ever? It's not about the clothes etc which has been stated loads in other threads geez
