Hmmm, I take it not many around here like these guys, but I personally love the Low Level Owl albums. Mare Vitalis is also great: does anyone have any recs for stuff similar to those records?

I just got the Low Level Owls albums and I listened to part of it last night and then listened through both albums today and I am really enjoying it. It all just flows so well. I think I could listen to it over and over and not get bored with it.

This band ****ing rules. Check:
Lost Songs Low Level Owl, Volumes 1 and 2 Mare Vitalis End of the Ring Wars Two Conversations The 3 way split is ok, but i'm not huge on the Planes Mistaken for Stars tracks. Race Car Riot is sweet though. The earlier it is, the better. In the songs i've recorded, i have made a subconscious effort to mimic the vocals off The End of the Ring Wars. Yes! |

I enjoy Low Level Owl Vol. 1 and Mare Vitalis the most. It's been ages since I played it but I remember disliking End of the Ring Wars quite a bit (particularly the vocals I think). The rest of their stuff is not bad but not great, and I haven't heard the new one.
