Funeral Diner and Daitro
Envy and Men As Trees
Envy and City of Caterpillar
As The Sun Sets and Enkephalin
Off Minor and Quebec
Phoenix Bodies and Pg.99

what's on everybody else's mind?

That would be a sick split, no doubt.
I Hate Myself and Saetia....

bardonodude 06-04-2008 09:10 PM

The Great Redneck Hope and Usurp Synapse
A Light In the Attic and Yaphet Kotto
Love Like...Electrocution and Jeromes Dream

Laces Out Dan! 06-04-2008 10:56 PM

I wish that all that talk way back when about The Fall of Troy and The Number Twelve Looks Like You would have actually gone through.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-04-2008 11:58 PM

I think an Envy/Daïtro split would be badass, especially if they covered each other... Daïtro covering "Chacun du Tes Pas" would be off the hook.

xcult_classicx 06-05-2008 01:48 AM

sometimes i wish Thursday and You And I did a split together with the Full Collapse sound intact.

anticipation 06-05-2008 10:09 AM

Make Me & La Quiete is my dream split.
that or Loma Prieta & Harrison Bergeron :)

xcult_classicx 06-05-2008 10:54 AM

Loma Prieta and Sed Non Satiata would make for an interesting split

p.s.

i can't help but whore my band out, but with the way our sound is going, i just can't help it.
Caitlyn Bailey and Et Tu Brute split. that would srsly be awesome and i'd listen to that everyday for a month.

tyrannobear 06-05-2008 04:55 PM

not to toot my own damn horn but I'd like to hear a Greatest Pinball &Ariadne's Thread split LOL.
Good thing its happening already.

No but seriously, We're probably going to go for a split with locals next after the Ariadne's split. Vessels of Energia are good guys, and so is Surfin Serf, even though they only do tapes.

its totally happening. we're pumped. oh, and even though you made it sound like you really didn't like that guitar part you sent me, i think its really solid. love to hear it as a full song.

xcult_classicx 06-05-2008 07:39 PM

tyrannobear 06-06-2008 01:30 AM

I don't know if there are enough musicians on MB hxc&emo to make a compilation.

hey guys, i think a split between Lautrec and the Greatest Pinball On Earth would be a shitload of ear candy.

xcassiusx 06-13-2008 04:33 PM

Local boiiizzzz Ghost Towns are doing a split with Lautrec. Should be tight as hell.

Kuwinkydink... I live in Ghost Towns area, and soon I'm moving nearby where Lautrec is. ha.

xcult_classicx 06-13-2008 10:02 PM

would you happen to know the guys from Enuma Elis?

alliteration 06-13-2008 10:11 PM

the chicago scene has quite a few decent bands. its too bad the whole area is populated by hordes of the ultra elitist screamo douchebag. then again, it seems like thats a majority of the whole scene itself. blah.

xcult_classicx 06-13-2008 11:42 PM

do i qualify for ultra elitist screamo douchebag? i could start an ultra elitist screamo douchebag chapter here or something since we have a monopoly on screamo. haha

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-14-2008 04:05 AM

Graf Orlock and Takaru would kick so much ass.

xcult_classicx 06-14-2008 10:47 AM

Honestly I haven't even heard of them. I'll look them up later?

I'm moving to South Bend, Indiana. Which seems like a tri-state area (right near Michigan, about an hour from Chicago). It seems like a decent scene, better than what's currently going on here. (Lion of the North, Men As Trees, Cougar Den, Phoenix Bodies, Lautrec, Native, the Reptilian, and probably a lot more from Chicago and maybe Michigan that I'm not posting)

xcult_classicx 06-14-2008 11:28 AM

speaking of splits, we're actually doing a split with Enuma Elis.

check them out here:
MySpace.com - Enûma Eliš - Chicago, Illinois - Screamo / Hardcore / Punk - www.myspace.com/enumaelis

we have it planned for either late this year or early next year. hopefully, it'll be a three way with Stella Dawes should those Brits decide it would be cool to proceed with a three way.

check them out:
MySpace.com - Stella Dawes - Birmingham, UK - Hardcore / Experimental / Progressive - www.myspace.com/stelladawes

in case some of you haven't heard my band regardless of the incessant whoring i do on musicbanter, here's a link just so you could see what would be going on in case a three way does push through.

MySpace.com - Caitlyn Bailey - DC, Region XI - Punk / Hardcore / Minimalist - www.myspace.com/caitlynbailey

alliteration 06-14-2008 12:58 PM

wait, you're in a band?

have fun. i don't think many people like us in the NWI/Chicago area, so forgive me for my distaste. are you going to school there or just because?
