Why does it matter?
Why does it matter so much to so many people whether a band gets popular. Like suddenly they're not very good because other people like them...Is it not about the music they make rather than how "sold out" there show was etc etc, like if lots of other people like them doesn't that mean they're good? I don't understand. Why suddenly change what you listen to, because you want to be different or something?? Like loads of people change to be different form everyone else, when al thouse people are just being the same as each other, thus like everyone else...Why does it matter so much to be so "different" or individual. Can't you be yourself like what you like and if lots of other people like it...who cares

The only difference I can think of that affects me in any way is that generally when bands I like become more popular, they charge more for tickets, and they play bigger venues where the view and the sound are nowhere near as good. I'd never stop loving a band simply because of that reason though, I think anyone that does has some pretty serious problems they need to address really.

what i hate is when a band changes how they sounds to become good. like good charlotte i liked some of there music before they became mainstream. but they changed to become liked by every little kid and every girl in the country. which is music taht idont like.

When was good charlotte never mainstream? :\ I'd really like to hear that. I dislike good charlotte...but i'd still find it interesting to hear it. |
How does that have anything to do with David Frost?

It matters if the band was about not selling out and then they're all over MTV. When a band makes songs to get played on MTV, they have to change their sound in some way. Some bands that I like have changed their sound to reach more people and that doesn't bother me. It bothers me, when people discover a "new" band that actually has been around for a decade or more and don't realize that they have other albums.
I hate those people that only like the newer stuff over the older stuff. IMO, if you like a band, you should like just about everything by that band. Clutch. This band was awesome back in '92 and '93. Then they changed their sound. I haven't bought any of their albums since. |
