Default Nu-Grind/Art/Core

Post all of the spiky logo'd nu-grind bands you can think of, and throw in some reccomendations if you'd like. I found a few worth listening to, but for the most part, I just enjoy the hunt
Bands along these lines:
Heavy Heavy Low Low
The Sawtooth Grin
See You Next Tuesday
Daughters
Job For A Cowboy

HHLL and Blowjob For A Cowboy are NOT worth listening to. SYNT is ok, except their new album is soo boring. I love the Sawtooth Grin, and I can't stand Daughters, yet they still have more merit than most bands out there now. I would just listen to these bands instead:

Harlots
The Crinn
Robinson
Menorrhagia
Destroyer Destroyer
Maruta
Shed For You
Insect Warfare
Cloacal Kiss
2 O'Clock Girlfriend

I dont really consider Ed Gein nu-grind per say but theyre somewhere between grind and sludge and awesome nonetheless, yea i agree SYNT's new album is really boring, if they took out breakdowns from their new songs, they would be soooo much better. Bear was such a better vocalist. Check out Sender Receiver as well, theyre pretty close to how sawtooth sounds. You might like The Number Twelve Looks Like You's Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses.

abacabb
all hands on deck
kissyface fashion faux

those are more i guess what youre looking for hehe

Time to play a game of agree/disagree!
Agreed:
C*U*N*T* isn't bad
JFAC and HHLL blow
Sawtooth Grin is hot
Cloacal Kiss, Robinson, and Maruta are all A++

Disagree:
Man, I love Daughters

I like Sawtooth Grin, Daughters, As The Sun Sets, Robinson, Cloacal Kiss, See You Next Tuesday, and yeah, even HHLL. Job For A Cowboy is horrible, and so is Waking The Cadaver and Impending Doom. Bleack. Also: the new Ion Dissonance is cut and paste slam-riff-core. Huge disappointment.

I'll roll with this. SYNT is alright, like I said. They're from around here, and they just are caught up with the trashy scene here in Michigan. There are actually decent dudes in the band. I like their old 3 song EP a bit, I just think the new cd is a real borefest is all. I feel the same way about Daughters new stuff as well. I didn't think Hell Songs was groundbreaking at all, it just struck me as an annoyance really. If they had kept making Canada Songs over and over again, no matter how generic and similar they all sound, I would probably enjoy them a little more.

And you should know Maruta, they're from FLA. I know Shed For You broke up, but they were from the Tampa area. You should check out Merkit if you enjoy a little thrashier stuff. Its solid.

Exactly. I could listen to "Each Individual Voice Is Dead..." over and over again.
