really? it's a song about Death and its pervasive presence in life

the song "This Is Really Testing the Patience I've Never Had" has one of my favorite lines in any song

Everyone around me is a ghost
I have the endless expression
Underneath my skin that goes
"Where I am
What am I doing"
And it's very
Very concerned

just look at that first line and its huge implications. hhll manage to layer meaning skillfully and simply, they don't overuse ridiculous metaphors like some *cough screamo* bands

"something you apply a message that fits what you wrote afterwards rather than fitting your words to what you want to say."

Yea, i like the two Kolya 7"s, a lot of hyper-emotional 90s stuff like Don Martin 3, Breakwater, Republic of Freedom Fighters, Bev.Clone, Kid Icarus, Portraits of Past, etc., a little heavier stuff such as Campaign, Downcast, Groundwork, Acme, One Eyed God Prophecy, Bluid, and Abnegation, and softer emo like the early Braid 7"s (gold!), Dahlia Seed, Garden Variety, Bells on Trike, Aminiature, and the Far Apart 7" is ****ing amazing. The State Route 522/Lying on Loot split is also one of my favorite records on the softer emo side...

then he spoke to me
horror horror
what i saw wasn't quite what i thought it was at first

I felt immense pain in my testicules after reading that

what the author meant to say is immaterial, it's called death of the author, a commonly accepted philosophical and literary idea, maybe you should check it out

the only meaning things have is the meaning each individual places in them, that's a fact. you can write a song about your own sadness, but if it makes me happy, it's a happy song

You can keep going on about all the literary ideas you want and treat it like you're more intelligent than the rest of us because you apply your english lessons to ****ty lyrics but it doesn't change the fact bad writing is bad writing.

/awaits more pretentious drivel about about this mediocre scene trash

er, look how cheesy it is.

Conclusion: Kolya lyrics are better than Heavy Heavy Low Low.

Default heavy heavy low low - turtle nipple and the toxic shock

definitely not as good as everything's watched, but still pretty good. they kinda did away with the number 12 spazziness for a more old school fuzzy sound. they were clearly very high through the whole process of making this album which makes for a strange journey through HHLL's many influences. they have some really nice dance parts and good breakdowns. you should check it out if you ever get the chance.

Isn't this that one band that made that song "shannon's crafts" or whatever and every scenester had it on their myspace page in 2006?

....I didnt know they made one more than one song. That's a shame.
