I really like this, the chanting is kind of overpowering and at first it's too slow but once it climaxes and picks up holy shit. It's good to see they're experimenting more and breaking outside of the screamo genre.

bardonodude 12-12-2007 10:54 PM

yeah I heard this song when I saw them live. It was pretty cool but sounded the same through a lot of it. But Im listening to it now and Im sure Im wrong haha

It's about time. It's really doom-like which is good for them as I've always been a big fan of their epic build-ups (A Crater to Cough In, Non Objective Portrait of Karma, Houdini Logic). Right now though I'm trying to get around the fact that Drew is an absolute dick and remember why I loved them so much.

I definitely liked Part 2 more, the chanting was kinda overpowering but I'm glad that it's a much different direction than As The Roots Undo.

NoiseNotMusic 12-13-2007 01:47 PM

screw you guys I love the chants

i was tricked by thinking this was a trick

This nice I have a feeling this is going to be a very epic and cohesive album. (and it better be as long as they're taking)

where's this from? I remember hearing it very recently..

Street Smart Cyclist, their acoustic song (the first one on myspace). I fudged the 2nd line a bit because I couldn't really make it out clearly.

xcassiusx 12-13-2007 09:58 PM

hate it.

i love their epic build ups in their past releases, but i was not a fan of either part. did not like the build ups or anything really. I mean, okay, it's not THAT terrible, but it was a major disappointment than what I had been anticipating ever since Drew since it was going to be definitely "epic"

:(
