Are there many bands that scream where you live? If so you should all boycott the venue. The guy sounds like a pratt. Open up your own space for bands to play. It worked for the Gilman in the Bay Area, Koo's Cafe in Santa Ana, the PCH Club in Long Beach - and they are amongst the best venues in the world.

Yeah, we're probably going to boycott the place after this one time. Lately (as in today), I've been looking into renting spaces and using the money gained through admissions to pay off the renting of the space. Does anyone have any history with that? I've just realized how badly the venues around me really suck, so I just want to take things into my own hands to make sure kids have a place to start other then a house.
