Be greatful for the music in general. Just dont listen to the new emo. If you do like it and are just upset because of the name...i understand...with the whole punk rock kinda thing... i used to yell about how good charlotte isnt punk rock and all hat stuff. Im just trying to say be a little more open minded, speak your opinion, but please dont speak poorly of others and their opinions. Thankyou.

Now live with fookin view.

Man the point Thrice is trying to make is that he is the moderator of this board, an d he is trying to calm you down and teach you the rules.

Don't flame other posters.
And don't be mad when he warns you, if you deserve it, (which you did). He just wants to keep this place clean and pleasant. So rather than tellin people to learn a little about emo and then talk to you, just say you don't agree, and maybe even say why, and then leave it at that. You don't hagve to insult other people's intelligence.

FYI Taking back sunday, Thursday, Starting line are not emo. Don't get me wrong, they are very good bands (thursday is one of my all time favorites, and are now on tour with AFI!) All American Rejects and Rufio are more pop punk than anything. FRom autumn to ashes is screamo with extra brutal lyrics, and poison the well is more death metal/screamo. Once again, i like almost all these artists, but they aren't true emo. Check out Sunndy Day RealEstate, and piebald. Brighteyes is borderline, and old dashboard is good too, although iffy in the genre.

a commdrive...what is emo? basically a form of punk rock music that has "emo"tional lyrics in them....so yeah, the bands he put are fairly emo. If you are talkin about screamo that is a whole nother ballgame. But maybe YOU should learn what YOU are talkin about before YOU sayin something to anyone.
