Aotea (certainly interesting, screamo with a casio and trumpet)

The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg (extremely underrated and probs exactly what you're after).

Kids With Guns For Hands (theyre just really really good)

Why all the hate for 1905? I love them. I love all the vocals, whether they be male/female, sung/screamed.

Here's a comprehensive breakdown of 1905's vox (like you care):

female singing>male screaming>male singing>female screaming>any other vocals in any other music ever

Ok, the last part was a bit of an exageration.

And I find Mass Movement of the Moth to be interesting. They work some really cool parts into their songs, but other parts just sound like your typical screamo. Overall a good band.

1905 isn't a horrible band, they just don't push any boundaries and the lyrics are a bit cheesy.

nice first post, I've only heard the bold bands and I like them all. Especially Swing Kids and The Hal Al Shedad. Actually, The Hal Al Shedad is pretty much exactly what I have in mind, they're an excellent band. Textures of Tomorrow is all kinds of brilliance.

I've downloaded albums by 1905, Sleepytime Trio and I Would Set Myself On Fire For You so far. I'll try them all soon. 1905 seem to be an opinion divider, so that'll be interesting.

The first band Sound Devastation mentioned, I'm gonna make sure I get something by them ASAP too. Sounds cool.

The Blood Brothers aren't screamo, but they're experimental post-hardcore with lots of screamed vocals. Very interesting stuff.
