Other than indie/experimental music I've always had soft spot for hardcore punk. I am completely out of touch with it now, though. Completely. Can anybody help get me back on track? Which bands should I know about, and who are the most well renowned and regarded among fans these days? Are there any stand-out albums I should check out? And so on and so forth...

Also, INDK were a pretty good hardcore punk band. Their only CD is "Kill Whitey!" but their are some other songs from EPs, demos, and such floating around. I also like a lot of the newer hardcore that kids these days are splitting up into every conceivable genre (metalcore, mathcore, deathcore, etc.) but that stuff is quite a bit different than the original hardcore punk. Still good, though. |
