I can see that. I dig the **** out of them and they do have some songs that are different (somewhat) but they stuck to their shredding and being really emotional bit and they did it pretty well. It's just hard to tell them apart because all their releases had such abysmal recording quality.

I agree, a lot of their songs are monotonous, like all of the chaotic ones that have the same chaotic drum beat and the same guitar, and the same kind of screaming. I actually like the recording quality on Chaos Is Me/Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! and on the beginning tracks of Totality. Some of it was recorded at the legendary God City Studios by Kurt Ballou. Even though a lot of their songs sound the same, after listening to them, you can actually tell the difference lol. Theyre really good to listen to for a bit and then put them down for about a month and then listen to again for like a week. Thats the way Ive been listening to them lately heh. They're amazing though.

Chaos Is Me disc is completely different from any other recording, it's extremely obvious in every aspect of the music.

Sometimes I enjoy Orchid's abbrasive sound on earlier recordings, sometimes I like the recording that's a little bit cleaner.

Either way, both would have been the same live.

I'd have to say, Indian Summer is the "band of my life". While a cliche statement, it's really helped me find the definition in myself, as odd as that may sound. Otherwise, I've been really rockin' the Assfactor 4 as of late.

The reason so many teenagers these days think these newer rock bands are emo is because its marketed that way,i'm 34 years old and i even thought those bands were emo until i did some digging online and found out emo really started like a decade ago and i've NEVER heard of any of those bands. But i can see why kids nowadays think this stuff is emo,i even found a book at Barnes & Noble called "Everybody Hurts; A Guide to the Emo Culture" and all over it is MCR,FOB,Dashboard Confessional,Good Charlotte, all these bands that true emo fans can't stand. So you cant totally blame the kids for believing these bands are emo when it's all they're told. I myself LOVE MCR because the songs are good and i think the guys in the band are smart and talented. I dont hold it against them that they sound different now compared to "Bullets..." because every band changes, why get on their ass for it?

Because most bands play good music at some point before or after the change in their careers.

This cannot be said about MCR.

There is a difference between changing yr style because you want to play different music and changing yr style just to appeal more to the masses.

Ever hear of a starving artist? People don't sell out simply so they can get inground pools shaped like their logo or that sort of thing. A lot of musicians "sell out" to make a decent living, and provide themselves with the financial security they need to have a family if they so desire. Or maybe it is just to live out their greedy fantasies. Who really cares? If the musician has integrity, they're more than likely doing what they love, either on-stage for their ****ty radio-act, or in the clubs in their free time playing for some jazz act or something. In conclusion, I don't mean to sound rude or specify you in particular, but quit beating the dead horse that is "selling out".
