Then why are you even on this site? Are you seriously convinced that your viewpoint concerning any music is the right one, and its not worth it to consider other options? Cause if you are, just leave the site, you apparently know everything about music, so there is no need for you to partake in musical discussion like the rest of us ignorant fools.

just like any other girls in my school. saying "MCR rules", f*ck. they didnt even know how MCR sucks. here's something about them:
they became famous with the label of "emo" as a genre. they're dressing like little "goth" that's why many stupid kids call them as goth. now, they're saying they want to go back where they came which is "metal". aw, that really s*cks. they're saying they came from metal. hhaha. they're just really funny. now figure it out why they suck. and aw, my answer to your question is ORCHID. |

Orchid is awesome, and it amazes me how popular MCR is now. |

I always felt that Orchid lacked the ability to make songs that sound different from each other. I've listened to whole Orchid records and felt a sense of monotony and repetition to the point where listening to them becomes a chore.

well...sorry but correct me if i am wrong but just because i am 15 doesn't mean I don't have the right to defend in what i like.... trust me if i listened to everything that people told me to do and behaved like a good little girl do you honestly think i would be hear discussing this stuff??? ...no i wouldn't i would still be living with my dad and his g/f in a private school and i wouldn't probably ever get the chance to listen to any music like this ever if i didn't defend my self and didn't listen to what people told me to do.... so i will countinue to defend my self and at times just ignore what you have to say but i am pretty sure everyone of you have done that some point in your life you were all teens at one point in life soo yeah maybe its just a phase but This is the way i am... so i guess you'll have to deal with it hu??... or you don't have to listen to me

Not once did I say you don't have the right to defend what you like, and listening to people's suggestions doesn't have anything to do with behaving "like a good girl." And I still am a teen, only 2 years older than you so I don't use that as an excuse.
Honestly I couldn't make out everything you were saying, but I saw lots of logical fallacies scattered throughout. I was just trying to point out that you sound like an obnoxious, immature, know-it-all to the outsider, and that is not a very nice trait to possess. I mean you've got to accept change and new music, Matious and Loser both did and they're around your age. What makes you exempt from suggestions and other ideas?

You are really off on your whole "I'm defending what I love" argument. We aren't even bashing the bands you like, because not all of them are bad, we are mearly clearing up your misconceptions. I'll be the first to admit I love Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional, but I don't parade around saying they are emo bands, because they aren't. Just because you hold this conception of what emo is or isn't doesn't make you right. There is a history behind the music and it can't be erased just because you don't know anything about it.
You can still listen to MCR or whatever else you like, but the regulars would just like to see you learn something and maybe look into the bands that are REALLY in the genre. I don't think it's unfair, we've been anything but inconsiderate towards you. |
