I can see that. I dig the **** out of them and they do have some songs that are different (somewhat) but they stuck to their shredding and being really emotional bit and they did it pretty well. It's just hard to tell them apart because all their releases had such abysmal recording quality.

I agree, a lot of their songs are monotonous, like all of the chaotic ones that have the same chaotic drum beat and the same guitar, and the same kind of screaming. I actually like the recording quality on Chaos Is Me/Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! and on the beginning tracks of Totality. Some of it was recorded at the legendary God City Studios by Kurt Ballou. Even though a lot of their songs sound the same, after listening to them, you can actually tell the difference lol. Theyre really good to listen to for a bit and then put them down for about a month and then listen to again for like a week. Thats the way Ive been listening to them lately heh. They're amazing though.

well...sorry but correct me if i am wrong but just because i am 15 doesn't mean I don't have the right to defend in what i like.... trust me if i listened to everything that people told me to do and behaved like a good little girl do you honestly think i would be hear discussing this stuff??? ...no i wouldn't i would still be living with my dad and his g/f in a private school and i wouldn't probably ever get the chance to listen to any music like this ever if i didn't defend my self and didn't listen to what people told me to do.... so i will countinue to defend my self and at times just ignore what you have to say but i am pretty sure everyone of you have done that some point in your life you were all teens at one point in life soo yeah maybe its just a phase but This is the way i am... so i guess you'll have to deal with it hu??... or you don't have to listen to me

When I was 15 I liked some music that today I would categorize as "all kinds of terrible" The real point, though, is that around that time I got busy soaking up all the information I could from people who were older than I was, and who turned me on to good music. If I would have disregarded all of their opinions, I'd have lacked the groundwork of knowledge necessary to discover all sorts of amazing bands once my tastes matured.

Not once did I say you don't have the right to defend what you like, and listening to people's suggestions doesn't have anything to do with behaving "like a good girl." And I still am a teen, only 2 years older than you so I don't use that as an excuse.

Honestly I couldn't make out everything you were saying, but I saw lots of logical fallacies scattered throughout.

I was just trying to point out that you sound like an obnoxious, immature, know-it-all to the outsider, and that is not a very nice trait to possess. I mean you've got to accept change and new music, Matious and Loser both did and they're around your age. What makes you exempt from suggestions and other ideas?

Don't use "big" words, she'll get confused!

My favourite "emo" bands are November Blessing, which is more of just an Acoustic player, but, my other favourites are: Thursday, Typecast, Alesana, From Autumn To Ashes, From First To Last, Mozart Season, Pensive and Asteria, for a bit of a list.

My Chemical Romance is the most mainstream band besides Fall Out Boy today in music. Mainstream bands are pretty much never emo, they're usually scene or fake. Also, you'd get more respect poster, whatever your name is, if you actually typed in complete sentences, had correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Go to the local clubs around where you live and find some REAL bands, and maybe go to some f*cking shows and then call yourself emo.

Good grammar doesn't mean shit if you're ignorant and have no idea what emo is.

P.S. Alesana suck.

You are really off on your whole "I'm defending what I love" argument. We aren't even bashing the bands you like, because not all of them are bad, we are mearly clearing up your misconceptions. I'll be the first to admit I love Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional, but I don't parade around saying they are emo bands, because they aren't. Just because you hold this conception of what emo is or isn't doesn't make you right. There is a history behind the music and it can't be erased just because you don't know anything about it.

You can still listen to MCR or whatever else you like, but the regulars would just like to see you learn something and maybe look into the bands that are REALLY in the genre. I don't think it's unfair, we've been anything but inconsiderate towards you.
