I'm always a little touched and a little "This is ridiculous" when that shows up. This is true of their lyrics in general, but it's kind of cool when that happens. Great stuff. |

I actually can feel you on that. A bit like what I'd said before about the "alphabet" line: I feel like there's a lot of emphasis on sound rather than content in the lyrics, so there's usually a clever takeaway line ("I'm dying to tell you I'm dying," "If we stand for long enough, the sun will move around us," the skinny-neck hex bit,) amid a lot of goofyness. Sometimes I'm into it and sometimes I'm not.

caP'n Jazz were sort of purposefully immature most of the time. The whole 'kitty kitty cat' thing is just to give the audience something chant along. If you're really expecting them to remain highbrow for an entire song, caP'n Jazz isn't your music.
