Joan Of Arc, Cap'n Jazz, etc.
I love the Indie-emo movement. Also, I hate those scene kids calling bands like Chiodos and Bring Me The Horizon "screamo". Post-hardcore and metalcore/deathcore are completely different. To everyone who likes the real screamo, I recommend the band Best Friends. Great job, by the way. I didn't notice any grammatical errors, and I'm showing this to all my friends who listen to Panic At The Disco and American Hi-Fi and call them emo. Oh, one last thing. Does Minor Threat count as the original emo, or are they more 'straight-edge'? I think they take part in both of these, but I'd like someone else's opinion on it. |
Minor Threat isn't emo; just plain old hardcore and the only sub-genre of hardcore edge bands would go under is "comedic hardcore."

Okay, thanks. I had heard different by some people on VLV and wasn't sure.

what do we want? fun! sick two piece from philly, you're my new favorite poster. |
lol people on VLV are *******s for the most part even though they do know their **** surprisingly well. but minor threat is definitely just one of the first hardcore punk bands. Best Friends aren't screamo but they are a really good band, you ever listen to their other band letters in binary Roemilca?

Also, not relaly, I've been reading through blogs for the past few months, and this is how I first found out about the 'real' screamo/emo in the first place. Personally, I'm more of a Kinsella fan. |
it bums me out that best friends are more popular than LIB. I think LIB is a far better band, to be honest. It also bums me out that LIB is playing a show in Philly now, and I can't go. Brandon needs to go for me.
