I agree with you. Although it's fun to listen to emo bands, I think the genre of indie is more interesting. Bands like Matt Pond PA, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, and Metric have lovely pieces of music that truly captivate me.

bang.bang, you have much to learn about emo here. i had a very similar list of 'emo' bands, but listen to zealious' posts and you'll get some good bands out of it. but those are some good bands none the less.

I got that feeling redaing through some threads...and gathhered MCR aren't o popular with yooh guys
But hey just cos other people like them and they're kinda mainstream, doesn't mean i have to stop liking them

actualy, i LOVE LOVE LOVE my chemical romance. they're one of my favorite bands. i consider them emo, i don't care if they're mainstream. i love them anyway. i adore their first album. it's amazing.
