but horse the band coined the term nintendocore as a joke for themselves and people call them nintendocore now...and man is the bastard coined the term powerviolence as a joke yet people consider them powerviolence and they led an entire movement!

It can be, but most punk can be called rock too, so I don't see your point. Emo violence just narrows down the description and gives us a more accurate view of the band if we are recommending them, or asking for recommendations of that sound.

that would be true. except for the fact that "emo-violence" is such an idiotic and marginal term that utilizing it is pretty much useless. myself, and pretty much everyone else included would get the same picture if you said jeromes dream was emo-violence or screamo. so at this point, you really just look laughable.
hell, the term "emo" itself is laughably stupid, since its really just an aspect of hardcore punk. its even more entertaining to see you break down another genre within another genre within another genre. i hope in the future one day we have genre titles to describe every single irregularity in the whole entire world, not just music. |
