one of the guys from this band is in Small Arms Dealer, which is one of the better punk bands out there right now.

Ever since a member on here told me to check them out, this band has been a favorite. Were there any other bands that were a part of the same scene as On the Might of Princes. They're just so different from anything else I have to wonder.

I love the use of bass, and sing-screaming...some of their softer stuff is really good, but their more screamo songs are just perfect. Pretty much the ideal emo band for me.

not really sure, they draw a lot of influences, the only band I can kind of think of that were similar is You & I or kodan armada. although they're not really the same post-hardcore, post-emo kind of sound.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

The lead singer's new band hopped on the house show I'm having Friday and they sound pretty dank.

Thanks for the update and links.

I'm always on the lookout for new stuff coming out of these guys. Though I never checked out Small Arms Dealer. I might have played some samples on Amazon at some point and maybe they didn't do much for me. Playing a full album might do the trick. Anyway, downloading the Brass demo now, thanks.

edit: Just played the demo. It didn't really impress me at first, as I was hoping for something a step beyond the latest from OTMOP. But as the songs progressed and through to the end...I quite enjoyed it. I felt that some of the riffs or chord progressions were a bit recycled from OTMOP, but that's based on first impression, and it's just a demo. This will be staying in rotation and I'll be awaiting the EP.
