I thought post-rock influenced Screamo had been the trend for a while now. I havent found any great bands of this style the past 15 months besides Men As Trees, The Blue Letter, and maybe something else I'm forgetting. I miss Et Tu. But i mean, theres been plenty of bands of this style for a while now I thought. Or do you mean on a larger scale, maybe where it's the dominating sound?

not really, post-rock and screamo is a big thing already but there's something in bands like Et Tu Brute and Enuma Elis for example that sort of give american screamo the american screamo feel. i dunno how to explain it exactly, sorta like the way all european bands are either like Tristan Tzara, Raein and Amanda Woodward. Narrators have that new american screamo feel as well, i just can't hit the nail on the head as to how to describe it. it's not just the screamo+post-rock formula since bands like the Black Heart Rebellion for example don't carry that same vibe. gaah, i'm talking out of my ass
